As some of you may know I have been given the tremendous opportunity to share some of my story of how the Lord has blessed me with the 700 club and their viewers.
After speaking with a woman today that had seen my testimony on CBN I was smacked in the face with a revelation that I did not even have my testimony on my website. Sadly enough I'm sorry to say I hadn't even thought about it but thanks to this wonderful Godly woman and her loving advice and encouragement I have decided to add my testimony for all to read.
About 15 years ago after being water baptized the Lord said I would lead multitudes to him! I never could figure out how exactly lil 'ol me was going to lead multitudes to the Lord. God knew 15 years ago what I couldn't have possibly known and I'm hoping by posting this testimony I will be able to touch many more people with the love and provision that God has for every single one of us!
My life like most everyone else's has been full of ups and downs and backslidings. I use to tithe all the time but had gotten away from church and doing what I knew I was suppose to be doing.
In early 2002 I bought Salon Suites. The salon was making profit every month and things seemed to be going well. Until every girl left but one by the end of the year! I was devastated. I ran ad after ad after ad to no advail. In search of making more money I decided to open this hair loss website. The company charged me $8,000 that I did not have, so I had to charge it, and then told me I had to build it on my own with periodic technical support. I was traumatized! I did not know how to build a website and now I'm even further in debt than I was! But I went to work. I studied and learned html code and a page at a time started to build my site. I worked hours upon hours trying to get it done. Finally in October of 2003 I finished! I submitted my site to every search engine and if you knew the search word Hinoki you would find my website in the top 10 of every search engine. But I wasn't getting any sales.
I had started watching the 700 Club in December of 2003. I was feeling a strong desire to get back to church and start doing what I knew I should have never stopped doing in the first place. Pat Robertson was teaching about the Laws of Reciprocity and how if we give to the Lord he will give it back to us pressed down, shaken up and spilling over so much so that we can't even contain it! I was so inspired by all the testimonies but I didn't join at that time. I just kept watching every day until one day in January of 2004 I felt an urgency to become a member. My first thought was how can I afford to take on another $20 payment. Then I just knew in my heart the Lord was going to take care of it so I picked up the phone and joined pledge express. I was so excited! I couldn't wait to see the Lord move in my life.
On March 22 the first payment of $20 was taken out of my account. That same exact day I received my very first order for $50 in 5 months! (I know on my segment I say the next day. After my filming for the 700 Club I checked my records to find it was indeed the same day!) Then on the 23rd I received another order and on the 26th another and the Lord just kept sending me more orders! So I would give special gifts here and there and he always gave me the money right back and then some! I mailed a gift of $250 one day and that same day I received an order for over $400! My biggest order ever!
I continued to up my giving throughout the year during the telethons. (I like to give during the telethons because my tithe is matched and it's like giving double and in turn I get double the blessings!) Now my website was doing much better but I still didn't have any more tenants at my shop until one day in November. I was blessed with 2 miracle healings from the Lord while watching the 700 club. The same day I shared that testimony with 2 nonbelievers I got a call from a girl that I had worked with years prior and she was looking for a salon to move to. I told her to come on down and take a look. She came and brought a friend with her. They both joined me! I upped my giving that month during a telethon to the 1000 club level and within 2 weeks another girl had joined us and not even a month later another girl came!
So in January during the telethon I called and upped my giving to the 2500 club level. CBN called me that same day and said we notice you keep upping your giving may we ask if you're noticing any financial blessings......I said "LET ME TELL YOU!" They then asked if I would share my story with their viewers and that's how them taping my testimony came to be. That month I had my best month ever in sales on my website!
This past Friday I called and upped my giving again to $300/month on Saturday I got a call from a nail tech who's considering joining my salon! If she takes a room I will only have one hair room open and she may have a stylist friend that may join us, too. Filling my whole salon! God is soooo Gooooooooood!
I have since bought 2 more houses, my first brand new truck and joined a wonderful Christian based church where I was able to share my testimony with the whole congregation. I went from giving $20/month to giving over $400/month all in 2 years! Praise the Lord! Update 2-7-06: The nail tech I mentioned is now my newest tenant!! Update 1-25-07: I am now a founder at the 700 club!
If you're reading this and you do not tithe please let me encourage you to start. The Lord promises to give it back in the same measure you choose to give. Please let him prove it to you as he has proven it to me.
